Between 2005 and 2008 Allan worked as a camera man in a dive team exploring the Gulf of Thailand looking for ship wrecks from the Second World War. Dives ranged from 50 to 86 msw, and mixed gas were used on most dives. The most notable find was the discovery of the USS LAGARTO, an American submarine lost in May 1945 and found 60 years later. The discovery led to an EMMY award winning documentary - Lost & Found: The Legacy of The USS Lagarto - made by the Deep Sea Detectives, John Chatterton & Richie Kohler in collaboration with the dive team.
